Recycling Yard Signs: Corrugated yard signs and metal frames can be recycled, but they cannot be put in your curbside bins. Here are recycling locations to drop off your signs for the August 2026:

• Lower Shaw Park Parking Lot: 231 S. Brentwood Blvd, August 12th & 13th

Eye Thrive Mobile Vision Clinic: Eye Thrive will offer free eye exams and glasses at four SLCL branches this summer! Any child age 4-18 is eligible. Capacity is limited. Reservations are recommended. Exams will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more at www.slcl.org/eyecare

Diaper Drive: During the month of August, the friends and members of Unity Lutheran Church are collecting diapers and period supplies for the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank.

Please drop off donations at Unity (8454 Glen Echo Drive) from 9 am - 2 pm, Monday -Thursday or Sunday morning until noon.

All diaper sizes are appreciated but there is always a special need for sizes 4 and up.

Monthly BOA Meeting: The monthly Board of Alderpersons meeting will be held on the third TUESDAY of August rather than Monday. The meeting will be Tuesday, August, 18th at 7:30 pm at city hall. The agenda will be posted on the website.

North County Education Task Force: The St. Louis Region Future of Public Education Task Force, consisting of educational and civic leaders, is considering solutions to tight budgets and declining enrollment in North County districts. Normandy Schools Collaborative risks losing their accreditation due to low test scores. The task force is evaluating options, such as keeping Normandy an independent district, reassigning Normandy students to other districts, and merging several north county districts into a larger district with more resources. Report a Concern: Have something to share?​ The City of Bel-Nor wants to hear from you. 

Use the City's Report a Concern form to to submit questions, comments, concerns, complaints, suggestions, or other feedback about City services, operations, properties, programs, or community issues. (Bottom of the Forms & Permits page)

You may submit the form anonymously or provide your contact information if you would like a response or follow-up from the City. 

You can use the form to:

• Ask a question

• Report a concern or ongoing issue

• Share a complaint or suggestion

• Upload photos, documents, or other supporting information

Please provide as much detail as possible so your submission can be routed to the appropriate person for review.

Peddler’s and Solicitor’s License: From time to time, individuals may go door-to-door in Bel-Nor to sell products or services or to request donations. Under the Bel-Nor Municipal Code, most peddlers and solicitors are required to obtain a permit from the City before conducting door-to-door activities.

Individuals who are required to have a permit must wear it on their outer clothing where it is reasonably visible while conducting door-to-door activities.

Residents have the right to ask to see a city permit before engaging with a door-to-door salesperson or solicitor. If an individual who is required to have a permit cannot produce one, or if you believe someone is violating the ordinance, please contact the St. John Police Department's non-emergency line at 636-529-8210.

Residents may also post a clearly visible "No Soliciting" or "No Solicitors" sign at their residence. Individuals conducting door-to-door activities must respect these notices.

Please note that not everyone who goes door-to-door is required to obtain a permit. Certain activities, such as political or religious canvassing and other activities protected by law, are treated differently under the ordinance.

• Knowing those nearby simplifies tasks like borrowing tools, arranging pet-sitting, or asking someone to water your plants while you're away.

• Established rapport helps prevent minor disputes, like noise complaints or property boundaries, from escalating into major conflicts.
