NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING

CITY OF BEL-NOR

Aldermen:

Notice is hereby given that an election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in the City of Bel-Nor, Missouri, for the purpose of electing aldermen for a term of two years. One alderman shall be elected for each of the two wards. For a ward map, please contact City Clerk Diana Krosnicki, (314) 381-2834.  In each of the two wards, the person receiving the highest number of votes shall hold his office for two years.

Mayor:

Notice is hereby given that an election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in the City of Bel-Nor, Missouri, for the purpose of electing a mayor for a term of two years. The person receiving the highest number of votes shall hold his office for two years.

Filing Procedures: 

The first day for filing Declarations of Candidacy for the April 2,2024 election is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5. 2023. Filing will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26. 2023.  Between those two dates, Declarations may be filed during normal City Hall hours. It should be noted that the City Clerk’s office is closed on Mondays.  Each Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the City Clerk at the City Hall, 8416 Natural Bridge Road, Bel-Nor, Missouri 63121.  Except as provided in Section 115.355.2, RSMo., all candidates must file in person; no one else can file for a candidate. State law requires persons filing declarations of candidacy to provide proof of identity.  If more than one person appears prior to 8:00 a.m. on December 5, the opening day for filing, the candidate or a person designated by the candidate may form a line at the main entrance of City Hall; provided, however, that if a candidate has designated another person to hold his/her place in line, the candidate must be the person in position at 8:00 a.m.
