New Construction: There are several construction projects taking place on Hanley Road near Highway 70. These consist of two distinct developments:
University Crossing: Located on the Metrolink property, this initiative involves the construction of a 60-unit apartment building, spearheaded by Bywater Development Group and Employment Connection. This development will also establish a new North St. Louis County office for Employment Connection, providing residents with employment resources and career advancement training. Construction is schedule to be completed in Fall 2026.
Triton Pointe: Located near 8724 University Place in unincorporated St. Louis County. This involves a 192-unit apartment complex developed by Kittle Properties. Currently, demolition is in progress to clear the area of trees and existing structures. The new complex will feature studio to four-bedroom apartments, as well as amenities such as a swimming pool, dog park, and playground. There is no published timeline as of now for completion.
CERT TRAINING: Be prepared when disaster strikes. The North County Police Department is offering free community training sessions beginning this spring, open to all residents in the Normandy area.
This hands-on opportunity equips participants with practical skills to help protect themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies—especially in situations where professional responders may be delayed.
Neighborhood Preservation: Now is a great time to complete the indoor maintenance projects before the weather turns nicer and we are all craving to be outside. Here are a few simple things that can save time and money in the future:
Change your air filter in your furnace
Clean your dryer vent
Clean your faucet aerators and showerheads
Clean out paperwork and recycle what isn’t needed
“Burp” your house: open windows for 5-15 minutes and let fresh air circulate through your house.
Neighborhood Safety: As the days get longer and slightly warmer, more people will be getting out to walk, run, bike, and play. Please drive slowly and be aware of others that are out and about.
